Bonnie Panton discovered abstract art the way most people discover things that change their lives — by accident, and while doing something else entirely.

She was working as an estate agent in Cheltenham when she noticed something that would have been obvious to anyone paying attention: houses with bold, beautiful abstract art on the walls sold faster than houses without it.

That's when Bonnie taught herself the art of abstract. The combination of colours, the movement of paint and the rhythm within the painting don't happen by accident, there's a formula that makes the perfect abstract painting. Bonnie describes it as an equal mix of calm and chaos, or as her loved ones describe her, sunshine with a little bit of hurricane.

Her comical approach to naming art is inspired by the colour charts that you find in DIY stores. What colour is an oak tree's fortune cookie or a leopards ski jacket? I guess we'll never know but you can enjoy the incredible works of Bonnie Panton while we try and work it out.
